Safe Covid Entry (Updated on 15-11-2021)

Positive news! Free From 2021 is good to go! Our doors will safely open on November 23. The new set of COVID-19 measures announced by the Dutch Government have limited impact for B2B events that take place at RAI Amsterdam. Our COVID-19 protocol ensures that Free From 2021 can take place in a safe and responsible way. See you at Free From Amsterdam Edition 2021!

To enter the Free From Exhibition, you must first register to receive a ticket. To gain access to the event, you need a valid corona entry pass and a valid identity card. As corona entry pass we use the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC). This digital certificate is received when you have a valid negative Covid test, have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19. In the Netherlands we use the CoronaCheck-app to show the DCC. A valid paper version is also accepted. This also applies to visitors from countries outside Europe where a certificate other than the DCC is used.

FAQ:

What is the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC) ?

This is the European initiative to allow free travel within the EU. You will receive this digital certificate if you come from one of the participating European Member States and you have been tested negative, have been fully vaccinated or have been demonstrably recovered of Covid-19.

How do I get an EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC)?

How to obtain this certificate varies by country. For example, it can be obtained from the testing centers, the health authorities, or through an e-health portal. The national health authorities of your country provide the information on how to get the certificate. The digital version can be displayed via an app or stored on a smartphone or tablet. In the Netherlands, for example, the CoronaCheck app is used. A paper version can also be printed. Both versions contain a QR code with essential information and a digital signature that guarantees the authenticity of the certificate. You can read more about this on the website of the European Commission.

I come from a country outside of Europe, how do I enter?

The European Digital Covid Certificate can only be used by European citizens (and a few countries which use the same technology). Visitors from outside of Europe can use a paper certificate to prove they are fully vaccinated, have tested negatively or recovered from Covid-19.Find out more the rules on this site from the Dutch government. https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/checklist-entry

Do I need a negative test result?

If you do not have a QR code to prove that you have been vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 you will need a negative test result. That test result is valid for 24 hours. If you are going to the event for several days, you will need a valid test result for each day. You can make an appointment via “Test for Entry” www.testenvoortoegang.org

What is ‘Testing for Entry’ (Testen voor toegang)?

In the Netherlands you can be tested to gain access to events. This “Test for Entry” initiative tests event visitors (for the time being free of charge) on Covid-19. You can make an appointment via www.testenvoortoegang.org

I am not from The Netherlands, can I also use ‘Test for Entry’?

Yes, anyone who wants to visit an event that requires a corona pass can use 'Test for Entry' (Testen voor Toegang). You must make an appointment prior to the event for this test.

What should I bring to the event?

A valid Covid entry pass that shows you have been vaccinated, tested negative (no more than 24 hours old) or have been cured of Covid-19. In addition, your entry ticket for the event and your proof of identity.

Do I need to bring an ID?

In order to check whether your recovery, test or vaccination certificate is really yours, we need your proof of identity. So always take your ID with you.

Where can I get Tested for my return trip?

When you are traveling back home or to another country, please check the rules of the local government or the health organisation of the country you are traveling to.

In some case you may need a negative test result to travel back. This may be an antigen test or a PCR test. In both cases you will need to find a test location which issues an international travel certificate.

You can find these locations here: www.bookyourcovidtest.com RAI Amsterdam is one of these locations.
